Welcome to Genussküche!

At its Traiskirchen site (Lower Austria), REWE Austria Genussküche operates a state-of-the-art ready-meal production facility that produces fresh meals every day for hot food counters, market kitchens, and the Omi's, Simply Good, Clever, and Delikatessa brands. Around 120 employees are dedicated to preparing high-quality ready meals that make everyday life easier for our customers – from classic home cooking and seasonal specialties to innovative recipe ideas. Genussküche has been in existence since 2002 and was relocated from Inzersdorf to Traiskirchen in 2017. The new location covers an area of 4,000 m² and is designed for efficiency, hygiene, and quality. With modern cooking facilities and a well-coordinated team, around 100 different items are produced here every week. Our BILLA, BILLA PLUS, ADEG, and PENNY stores stock popular classics such as minced meat patties, Bolognese, beef goulash, and seasonal specialties such as Simply Good brand products.

The production volume is an impressive 1.3 million portions per month, which corresponds to an annual output of around 16 million portions. The dishes for the hot food counter – such as chicken and pork cutlets and minced meat patties – are freshly prepared every day and delivered directly to the stores. A special feature of gourmet cuisine is the development of our own recipes, which is done internally and tailored to the needs of our customers. Preparation takes place via two production lines: one is a hot air line, and the other is a microwave tunnel that pasteurizes the food. The use of our microwave tunnel enables a particularly fast and efficient cooking technique that preserves valuable nutrients while ensuring the highest hygiene standards.
