3. Policy regarding your personal data
Personal data means any identifying information relating to a data subject or information by which they may be identified. Your personal data may include any information that is or can be associated with you as an individual, such as your name, address, email address or date of birth.
Your job application data will only be transferred within the company you have applied to for recruiting purposes. Your data will not be transferred to other controllers or third parties. Data that has been submitted to the careers board will be stored for seven months after completion of the selection process and then deleted. We may ask for your consent to keep your data on record for one year if needed.
Your personal data is collected, processed and used exclusively for the purpose of selecting a suitable job candidate. We review our data collection, storage and processing practices to ensure that we only store and process data that is absolutely necessary for the hiring process and for sending out letters of acceptance or rejection (data economy principle).
4. Obligation to maintain data secrecy
Access to your personal data is restricted to employees of the company you are applying to. All employees are obliged, based on the nature of their duties, to handle your personal data with the greatest care and to maintain data secrecy.
5. Data security
We use technical and organisational measures to safeguard our website and other systems against loss, destruction, access, modification or distribution of your data and implement extensive security measures to protect your data from unauthorised access. The information you provide is subsequently processed in encrypted form to prevent misuse of your data by third parties.
6. Rights of the data subject
Please send a written request to the Self Service Centre of the company you have applied to, or to REWE International Dienstleistungsgesellschaft m.b.H, IZ NÖ-Süd, Strasse 3, Objekt 16, 2355 Wiener Neudorf, Austria, and, after you have successfully identified yourself, we will gladly provide you with information about your stored data free of charge. We will of course also honour your rights as a data subject (right to rectification, right to restriction of processing, right to data portability) in a timely manner. You also have the right to obtain the erasure of your personal data and we will, of course, erase your data, provided that there are no retention obligations (e.g. the Austrian Equal Treatment Act) that prevent this. We are entitled to demand an appropriate fee in the case of obviously unfounded or – in particular – frequently repeated requests.
7. Contact for questions relating to data protection law
If you have any questions regarding our data protection policy, you can contact our data protection officer at email@example.com or by post at REWE International Dienstleistungsgesellschaft m.b.H, IZ NÖ-Süd, Strasse 3, Objekt 16, 2355 Wiener Neudorf, Austria. If you wish to lodge a complaint, you may of course also contact the responsible supervisory authority.
8. Revoking your consent
If you wish to object to the processing of your application documents, you may do so at any time by writing to REWE International Dienstleistungsgesellschaft m.b.H., IZ NÖ-Süd, Strasse 3, Objekt 16, 2355 Wiener Neudorf, Austria, or by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Once our retention obligations have expired, we will delete your data because we have no further justification for processing it.
