Whether they’re an apprentice or manager, skilled employee in the store/branch or at our head office, we attach great importance to challenging and promoting each individual through the best training and continuing education opportunities. The measures are developed in-house so that they can be tailored to the needs of the individual departments and their employees. We differentiate between Group-wide development programmes and programmes specifically for individual departments.
Individualized learning & training
‘Lifelong learning’ is not just a buzzword at REWE Group Austria. For this reason, we offer a variety of educational paths: from individual courses and programs for experts and managers to Group-wide international development and growth programs. New managers complete one and a half years of in-depth theoretical and practical training in which they acquire leadership and management skills and familiarize themselves with the understanding of leadership as well as the tools and methods that make up our management culture. Specialists and experts can also take part in a one-year training program from a certain level upwards: During this course, they take an in-depth look at their strengths and the requirements of the working environment of the future and develop strategies on how they can continue to develop in a targeted manner and in line with their personal goals.
Personal career planning
We want to secure our leading position as REWE Group Austria in the changing labor market by offering transparency, development opportunities and competitive career planning. In addition to the management career path which is guided by transparent criteria and roles, the expert career path offers a development plan for employees, as well as the opportunity to advance further along the route through the use of (more and more) expert knowledge and the assumption of increasing specialist responsibility without assuming disciplinary management roles. This enables and supports personal career development for managers and experts alike.

For many years, we have been offering our experts and managers external coaching sessions for the very best professional support on a wide range of topics.
