What sets us apart
Discover an outstanding company.
Our numerous awards and quality seals from various job platforms as well as the special award for Diversity & Inclusion prove that we are on the right track as a company. Because the jobs in our company are just as diverse as the people who come together under one roof and whose potential we want to develop – from people with disabilities and the 45+ generation to young talent and experienced employees.
Collaboration
Collective solidarity, loyalty and cohesion are a clear top priority in our group. We stand up for each other, trust each other and are loyal to our common goals.
The REWE Group and disability
“We integrate people with disabilities at all levels of our business activities and act as a role model for other companies.” Every single one of our approximately 45,000 employees is unique, including people with disabilities. It goes without saying that they often have special requirements for their workplace. We therefore ensure that the workplaces are accessible or equipped with additional devices – depending on their requirements and what is possible. The principles of our actions are set out in our Disability Charter.
Disability Talent Programme
20.5% of Austrians have a disability. We see this as an opportunity to show young people in particular that we value their disability as a positive aspect of their personal profile. By participating in initiatives like the Disability Talent Programme, we make use of the chance to network with young, successful students and promote their talent. Please contact our recruitment team for more information and any enquiries about disability.
Diversity
We recognise our corporate responsibility towards society. That’s why everyone has a place at the REWE Group and a job that suits their strengths. This also and particularly applies to people with disabilities. Because we see diversity as a great opportunity.
Continuing professional development
The continuing training of our employees is also just as important to us: we support all employees with a comprehensive range of seminars, various development programmes and personal coaching so that each employee can develop according to their own aspirations and needs. This applies to apprentices as well as to our employees and managers. After all, personal development opportunities are one of the cornerstones of our company. So we also have a responsibility to provide the appropriate prospects for continuing professional development.
Corporate health management
Our employees’ health matters to us. That is why we launched a pilot project in autumn 2008, which involved developing numerous measures to promote health and implementing them with the help of 800 in-store employees. We attach great importance to not only raising our employees’ awareness of health by providing information, but also by developing sustainable improvements in health-related working conditions. The programme to promote health is adapted to the occupational groups’ different needs and ranges from orthopaedic shoes, information material and training on the subject of “lifting and carrying” to management training, health checks and preventive care days. We also covered the various tasks carried out by skilled employees in our head office departments. On-site measures include healthy meals in our company restaurants, fitness programmes, ergonomic workplace consultations, massages, and presentations on work-life balance and ergonomics.
