Administrative office tasks round off your apprenticeship. You are taught all the skills and knowledge in the first and second year of your apprenticeship. As a retail management assistant with an additional specialisation in digital sales, the focus remains on the retailer occupation. In addition to the training plan for retail management assistants, various key digital topics are set for each year of the apprenticeship. Digital sales at BILLA take place in the stores and the apprentices should be able to manage an e-commerce department independently after the three years of their apprenticeship. As an office manager, your apprenticeship takes you through our company’s various departments, such as bookkeeping, accounting, mail room, HR and insurance. As a management assistant in e-commerce, you learn how to use company-specific shop management systems, analyse an online shop’s components and determine and document standard KPIs. Your tasks include developing proposals for a more competitive presentation of goods in the online shop and helping to implement them. Creating and sending newsletters in compliance with the legal framework is also part of your apprenticeship. Tasks: • Identifying opportunities to adapt and change how the online shop is used and supporting the use of test methods and tools to continuously improve the online shop’s usability • Using different forms of advertising in display marketing • Monitoring social networks with regard to your company and using social networks to address customers • Processing product data, photos, images and videos as well as creating product descriptions that are appropriate for sales and optimised for search engines in compliance with the provisions of copyright law • Integrating product data into the online shop and optimising it • Informing, supporting and advising customers or business partners on various channels and processing complaints

As an apprentice in application development – coding, you learn how to create software applications for computer systems. Together with your project team, you will be in close contact with customers, who you advise on the implementation and feasibility of their ideas using agile methods, among other things. You expand and maintain the applications in compliance with development standards and programming guidelines (taking into account later modifiability, extensibility, usability, efficiency, troubleshooting, maintainability, etc.), carry out tests and create technical documentation. As a finance and accounting assistant, your apprenticeship covers all areas of responsibility in operational accounting (bookkeeping, cost accounting), in other words, the department at the core of every company administration. The primary task of business and management accounting is to provide reliable figures on the company’s financial situation and therefore create a solid basis for management’s business decisions. Tasks: • Ongoing accounting work within the framework of various accounting systems in accordance with tax law (Income Tax Act (EstG)), company law (Austrian Commercial Code (UGB)) and international standards (IFRS) • Activities in connection with preparing annual financial statements • Handling cost accounting tasks (budget, reporting) • Settling social security and tax authority payments (preparing the interim VAT return etc.) • Working with typical IT processes for the sector • Administrative work using the company’s information and communication systems • Maintaining and analysing statistics, files and card indexes

As an apprentice (m/f/x) in information technology – systems engineering, you learn how to set up, synchronise and commission user terminals and peripheral devices. The design and planning of data storage systems in addition to the implementation and testing of data storage systems including backup solutions are covered in your apprenticeship. As a management assistant for media technology, you learn how to process analogue and digital data. You ensure that our corporate identity guidelines are strictly adhered to in your work and you can also be creative yourself. As a travel agency assistant, one of your tasks is to inform and advise customers about travel and all kinds of events. You gather all the necessary information and learn to calculate the total travel costs during your apprenticeship, taking into account the information gathered and agreements made. As a management assistant in operating logistics, you ensure that the right goods are in the right place at the right time. You work in the warehouse or administrative offices and are jointly responsible for accepting deliveries, ensuring that they are stored correctly, checking quality and picking goods for onward dispatch. Automotive technicians carry out maintenance and repair work on motor vehicles. They work with electronic measuring and testing devices as well as hand-held tools (spanners, screwdrivers, pliers, etc.). You will ensure that the lorries and trailers in our fleet are checked and maintained on an ongoing basis. As a food technician, you learn how to process and produce food in accordance with regulations.
