Getting to your interview

Plan your journey to the agreed meeting point the day before. You should always plan in a time buffer. After all, a traffic jam or train delay can happen at any time. Nothing will make you break out in a sweat faster and make you more nervous than being late for a job interview.

Job interview

Prepare for your job interview by finding out more about the REWE Group in Austria. At the same time, you should also familiarise yourself with standard questions that are asked in almost every job interview. The best thing to do is to practice the job interview process with your family or friends. It’s all about being prepared for certain types of questions and being able to respond confidently. This does not mean that you should memorise answers. Bring printed copies of your application documents to the interview.

Tips for the job interview

  • Greet the other person with a smile and maintain eye contact.
  • Make sure that the first and last handshakes are firm but not too firm.
  • Don’t fiddle with your hair or jewellery during the interview, as this will make you look nervous.
  • Sit upright and stand with both legs firmly on the ground.
  • Be yourself!

Apprentice test

The REWE Group apprentice test is mandatory for every applicant. It is carried out at the store, branch or head office and takes about 70 minutes to complete. Exciting tasks await to give you the possibility to prove your aptitude and knowledge. But there’s no need to lose your nerve – you can do it!

Taster days

During the taster days, you can immerse yourself in the world of your chosen apprenticeship and get a feel for the tasks that await you. Get to know your potential trainer and work colleagues and get a first impression of the team. Then you can decide for yourself whether the occupation is right for you and you want to continue on this path. Here too, it is important to be yourself!
