Bad Ischl: Imperial Charm in the Salzkammergut

As the heart of the Salzkammergut, Bad Ischl combines imperial history with a modern quality of life—not least as the European Capital of Culture 2024, the city has made a name for itself far beyond the region. Neighboring municipalities such as Lauffen, Perneck, and Ahorn ensure that commutes to work are short even from the surrounding areas, and as a center for education and business in the Gmunden district, the town offers a stable professional environment. After your shift, the region’s numerous lakes or a stroll through the spa town’s shopping street invite you to relax.
