Kramsach: Tyrol’s “bathtub” in the Alpbachtal Valley
Kramsach is affectionately known as the “bathtub of Tyrol” because of its six picturesque lakes—including the turquoise-colored Reintalersee and the Krummsee—and is idyllically situated on the north bank of the Inn River. Also well-known far beyond the region is the Museum of Tyrolean Farms, Tyrol’s largest open-air museum featuring historic farms from all parts of the state, as well as the quirky museum cemetery with its humorous tombstone inscriptions. You’ll find excellent access via the Inntal Autobahn and the neighboring communities of Rattenberg and Brixlegg. After work, one of the many lakes invites you to go for a swim or a stroll.
